In this Davis & Music story, Lou's final of three daughters is married offscreen and he hopes to have romantic time alone with his wife Edie, but she-- gasp!-- is going back to college at age 43. They separate but reconcile. Not only Lou but Murray and Gordy have very old-fashioned ideas about marriage. (Ted lives with his mother.) We won't meet Edie until later and she would eventually divorce Lou, but I think at this point it's meant to be a standalone plot.
Paul Micale would be a Waiter on this show once more.
