In Lew Schneider's first of thirty ELR stories, Ray meets an attractive waitress (Tina Arning, who'd be back three times as Angelina), so his best friend Bernie (Tom McGowan again) and family make a big deal out of it.
Susan Varon returns as Suzy, while Joseph V. Perry finally shows up as Nemo, owner of the pizza place (and would be back only six times).
