The big plot twist here is that poor Edith* gets jilted at the altar. Mrs. Hughes's benign cyst and Matthew Crawley crawling down off his martyr's pedestal are less surprising. And, yep, Daisy's got a crush on Alfred. I wonder what O'Brien will say, although she's very distracted by her escalating feud with Thomas, with hapless Molesley being used as a pawn.
Clare Higgins would return as Mrs. Bartlett, presumably with more information about her late friend, the first Mrs. Bates. Karl Haynes and Ged Simmons are respectively Dent and Turner here and on the next episode. Uncredited and unnamed Prisoner Brian Woodward would also be in the next episode. Roman Green is uncredited and unnamed as a British Battlefield Amputee (which sounds like an error, more like something from Season Two) and would return as an unnamed and uncredited Veteran, not necessarily the same person.
