I found this episode a bit of a let-down, although redeemed somewhat in the late scene where Margo bonds with and finds employment with Countess Mavrodaki (the legendary Leslie Caron, then 84, and yes. French rather than Greek). Margo earlier tries to work at the doctor's office, while Leslie gets dumped after two months because his girlfriend got back with her ex, so Larry takes him drinking and then just comes home when Leslie gets in a fight and ends up in jail. Gerry befriends a convict, who got only three years for killing his wife because of extenuating circumstances. And he's let out on weekends to go fishing! OK, I like Louisa's building friendship with Florence, and rocky romance with Sven.
This is the episode where we meet Dr. Petridis (Alexis Conran). Jeremy Swift, who was Spratt on Downton Abbey, here makes his first of four appearances as Dennis. Nestor Kopsidas would also be the Police Sergeant in the next episode, while Vangelis Diamantis and Manolis Emmanouel would return for that episode as Fotis and Sotos respectively.
