I watched only twelve minutes of this, despite the cast, with Coltrane as protagonist Fitz, a gambler, and Carlyle as a grieving blue-collar worker who becomes a skinhead and a killer.  I didn't care about either thread and the stabbing was the deal-breaker that meant I wouldn't make it to the half-hour mark.  Creator Jimmy McGovern wrote and Fywell directed this Series Two opener.
