Thirteen-year-old Vanessa breaks the house rule of no makeup until age 15. (Why 15? I could understand 14 for starting high school or even 16 since that is an important age, but 15 feels so arbitrary.) Then she has to grovel to Clair. This is one of the episodes that made me think that Clair Huxtable is a bit of a bitch.
