I really liked this story by Carmen Finestra, even though, as ever, the plotting is not the strong suit. There are actually three threads: the one about Rudy spending the night with her grandparents (Earle Herman and Clarice Taylor), the one about Denise and Vanessa "borrowing" Cliff's clothes to go to the Village; and the one about Cliff and Theo planning a Huxtable Men's Night, only to have two girls drop by to hang out with Theo.* Just slice of life stuff, gently done. And I think part of the credit goes to Rashad's maternity leave, since not only is my least favorite Huxtable gone, but Cliff is more subdued without his wife around. Maybe they should've spun off all the kids, not just Denise.
*We finally see Maxine Kirkwood, after hearing Theo refer to her often, although at this point he's more interested in her friend Lana Herman (Ana D. Zenon, who'd be back twice in the role).
