Matt Williams wrote this story with Carmen Finestra, who'd do an impressive fifty-five more. Straight-A Vanessa finds herself outclassed by her new classmates when she does a lazy project for the science fair.  I like that, although Cliff talks with his daughter, she figures some of it out on her own.

Audrey Wong, Nancy here, would play Audrey on the Halloween episode that year, but Pam Potillo would be Vanessa's friend Janet Meiser nine more times.
