This story, Eric Kaplan's first of seven, is odd even by Futurama standards. It includes the following:
- A Beastie Boys concert
- Bender becoming addicted to electricity until he's saved by the Church of Robotology
- His friends corrupting him in Atlantic City
- Him being dragged off to Robot Hell, which is apparently located in an abandoned amusement park
- Bender, the Robot Devil (voiced by Castellaneta), Leela, and Fry singing a song about Robot Hell
- and Bender deciding he'll be just as evil as usual, no more no less.
Vanzo and Moore co-directed.
Futurama in its first season ranges from C to B-, averaging out to C+. There are no real classic moments but it's a decent introduction to the series.
