While I wasn't exactly drawn in to this third-season opener, I did make it to the required quarter hour, despite the bloody beginning. The series is of course based on the George R. R. Martin series, this episode and many others (all?) written by co-creators David Benioff and D.W. Weiss. Daniel Minahan directed four other GoT episodes. I'm not going to tag any of the performers, but I will note that Oona Chaplin is, as I suspected, the granddaughter of Charlie Chapin and Oona O'Neill.
