The second season kicks off with everyone going on a space cruise on the ominously named (except not to any of them) Titanic. That Zapp Brannigan is the captain is more worrisome, not just because he's still after Leela but because he decides to change the course to make it more exciting. Writer Eric Horsted manages to parody The Love Boat and Three's Company as well as Titanic, with a fake triangle among Leela, Fry, and Amy, although Fry says he has no interest in Amy and it's pretty clear he is interested in Leela. Her feelings are less clear, including to herself. Meanwhile, Bender actually falls in love to the point that he resists stealing! Amy finds love at first sight with Kif, and I recall that as lasting awhile.
Dawnn Lewis (of A Different World) makes one of her cameos as Hermes's wife LaBarbara.
