This is another mystery where Sidney confronts prejudice and shows his open mind, this time about Pakistanis.  And, yes, the soapiness continues, with Geordie continuing his affair with Margaret (there's a discreet sex scene), while Sidney and Amanda agree that their involvement (which seems to be at second base) must end because of both their reputations.  And poor Leonard continues to try to court a girl.  There's some cricket, but this isn't much of a sports episode so I didn't mark it down for that.

Peter Davison, who was one of the Doctors on Doctor Who that I haven't seen, was Tristan Farnon on All Creatures Great and Small and is Geoff Towler here.  John Jackson wrote this episode and had written another in Series Two.
